What actually matters

• The zipper, not the fabric. A smooth, full-length zipper with a slider that doesn't catch or skip is the whole game. If it sticks on a full bag, the bag is already useless.
• Reinforced seams. The zipper track takes all the stress. Heat-sealed, reinforced seams hold when a bag is packed tight; thin stitching separates at the corners first.
