A drawer organizer looks like a guaranteed win until you open the drawer and realize the dividers don't reach the back, or the whole tray slides around every time you close it. What actually matters

• Adjustability that locks. Spring-loaded or expandable dividers that press firmly against the drawer sides stay put. Flimsy ones slide the moment you pull the drawer open and dump your utensils.

• Width range. Measure your drawer depth before you buy. Most kitchen drawers run 17 to 22 inches deep, and a divider that tops out short of your drawer leaves dead space behind it.

What we found
